Our Founders
Dr. Ghazi Malkawi
Dr. Ghazi Malkawi is an experienced design engineer with 20 years of experience in designing components and systems. In addition, he has over 8 years of experience in project management and leadership, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to ensure continuous improvement of products and successful introduction of new products. He possesses in-depth knowledge and expertise in various fields of engineering, including virtual product development, such as CFD, FEA, CAD/CAM, Thermo/fluids, material science, vibrations, machine element design, kinematics, mechatronics, and many more.
Dr. Malkawi holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, as well as a Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Tom Edwards
Tom Edwards is the President and CEO of Technics, Inc. He has 30 years of experience providing controlled fluid processes for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Automotive, and Defense industries. He has designed for both production and research facilities throughout North & Central America, India, Europe, Africa, Russia, The Middle East, Australia, and East Asia. His expertise encompasses software, instrumentation, controls, and process engineering for the transfer, storage, tempering, and mixing of liquids and gasses.
Mr. Edwards holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Loyola University. He resides with his family in Chicago USA.
